Physical Identity Proofing

In addition to our digital suite, we provide physical identity proofing as a service in collaboration with partners in Norway for high-trust requirements.

Core Biometric Capabilities​

Our services leverage advanced computer vision to ensure the person behind the screen is who they claim to be and—crucially—that they are a real, live human being:

  • Face Recognition: Precise matching of live captures against trusted reference images (e.g., from an ID card or ePassport).
  • Passive Liveness (PAD): Detect presentation attacks (photos, masks, or videos) without requiring user gestures.
  • Deepfake Detection: Guard against AI-generated synthetic media.
  • Injection Attack Detection: Prevent "virtual camera" and hardware-level bypass attempts.

These components can be combined to support high-assurance identity workflows in banking, eID, and other regulated domains.

Component overview​

The Mobai platform is designed to be modular, consisting of mobile SDKs, a verification backend, and optional physical services.

How it works:

  • Mobile SDKs: Handle user interaction and capture high-quality biometric samples using the front-facing camera.
  • Backend Services: Receive the samples (via your orchestration layer) to perform verification and security checks.
  • Physical Identity Proofing: An optional layer for in-person verification by trained staff when digital-only flows aren't sufficient.
